More On That Awesome Inc. CMJ Party

From Awesome Inc.:

We did our first party at SXSW this past year. The SXSW party featured The Cloud Room, Grand National and Forward Russia!'s first US appearance.

Not to be out done, this year's CMJ lineup includes Thunderbirds Are Now!, The Harlem Shakes and Lo Fi Fnk's first US appearance. We are also having CSS and James Freidman as special guest djs, including all the Awesome Inc. Djs. The party is at Galapagos in Williamsburg on Wed Nov 1st and is free.

We are doing something special this year. We are all about new music and CMJ is the place for discovering it. We are hosting a contest with imeem.com to find the best band at CMJ and have them open our showcase. Any band can head to http://awesomeinc.imeem.com and submit their act to the contest. The contest closes October 14th and we will pick a winner on October 16th.

We really want to find a great band, so if you have any suggestions, please let us know. We will be filming mini documentaries the entire night of the party and each band for them to use as they wish.
