Gern Blandsten and Howler Records are having their 2006 CMJ showcase at Midway on Thurs Nov 2. Here's the lineup:

Victory At Sea were very impressive when I saw them a while back at Northsix with Aloha and The Appleseed Cast. Recommened for fans for New Buffalo. Have listened to their album All Your Things Are Gone alot too and it lives up to their live show. Buy it. Listen to some tunes at their Myspace, especially "to you and me". Have been meaning to catch them again, maybe this is my chance.
