Another Crazy Weekend In NYC - June 1st - 3rd

So much to do this weekend. So little time. Here's where you might see a tall guy wearing a NY cap:

Tonight/Friday:

Let the Seaport season begin. The stellar lineup this year kicks off tonight with one of my favorite bands making music today - Animal Collective. Shockingly enough, this will only be the 2nd time I have seen them live. I have been thinking about this show ever since it was first announced. Apparently they have been playing songs from Person Pitch recently. I hope they do so again tonight, as that album is a lock for a top spot on my year end list. Also interested in seeing Danielson live for the first time. This should be a great night. And it looks like Mother Nature is going to play nice. See you there!

Tomorrow/Saturday:

I will attempt to do the classic back and forth tennis match NYC music routine Saturday night. I see much walking on Delancey in my future. First towards The Bowery, where Aeroplane Pageant celebrate their Bowery Ballroom debut! What's this? A third flyer? Why not.

Here are the first two.

Then we scamper down toward the bridge to wish Rachael a Happy Birthday (one day late) at The Delancey. Should be able to catch The Antlers and some of Wakey Wakey.

If things go according to plan, we then sprint back to Bowery Ballroom for some Vampire Weekend and White Rabbits. If we have anything left in our severly depleted batteries, perhaps some afterparting back @ The Delancey. Unfortunately, it looks like we will be missing out on Jukebox the Ghost (for now. you'll see).

Sunday

Thanx to the surprise awesomeness of snatching up a pair of tix for Interpol this Tuesday, Sunday's plans may be scrapped. But if we do feel inspired, off to Williamsburg we go to catch Nada Surf @ the Domino Sugar Factory benefit. And if we make it to Williamsburg, why not the Lower East Side afterwards, for a 2nd chance at catching Jukebox the Ghost @ Rockwood Music Hall (which should have been on this list). Jukebox play at 9. Mahogany also play at 11, so it's a good bet that Rockwood is going to be crowded Sunday night.

Have a good first weekend of June everyone! And if I don't see you this weekend, maybe I'll see you on Tuesday!?
