CMJ 2006 - Day 3
Quick thoughts today are going to be especially quick.
12 bands. Yesterday was what CMJ is all about.
Forward, Russia! -> Tokyo Police Club -> Dappled Cities Fly (Good call Sean, loved them), Canada -> Tall Hands -> Bound Stems -> Annuals -> Delicious dinner at Lombardi's (where sitting a few tables away was the cop kid from Locke's backstory on Lost, the Lost nerd in me was thrilled) -> Tried to see Stars of Track and Field (stupid Crash Manshion was almost an hour behind) -> Oh No, Oh My! -> Born Ruffians - > THE THERMALS!!!!!! -> The Album Leaf -> The Shins.
Exhaustion and sickness caught up with me this morning and I slept in a bit. Missing the first half of BV's dream-like showcase today, but should get there in time for Oxford Collapse and The Thermals. Bands you should see tonight: Benzos acoustic @ White Rabbit, Aloha, Sam Champion, The Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, Born Ruffians, and of course, Bound Stems.

awesome chris! glad you liked them. they are just about to release album #2 here. and i suspect will do very well in the Top Aussie bands list.
nlizdYou didn't miss much w/ Stars of Track and Field. I thought they were pretty boring. The hard rock band before them were surprisingly good though, in a Hollywood Strip kind of way.
