Ted Leo / Medications
So Living With The Living has leaked. And I have heard it. And as expected, it fucking rocks. If you haven't heard "The Sons of Cain" yet, go listen to it at their Myspace.
Do you have your Webster hall tix yet? As of now, this will be their first NYC show post Living With The Living release. Still plenty of time though between now and when their tour kicks off on March 2nd. Watch out for a last minute warm up show, ala !!! @ Maxwell's (extremely great, but short, show. Posted a lil review over in the comments at BV) and somewhere in Brooklyn this Saturday.
Remember back when TL&Rx were gearing up for the release of Shake The Streets and they played about a million NYC shows (pretty much all of which I attended). Ahhh, those were the days. Now the band is gearing up for the new album with a huge tour. It's making me feel selfish. I don't want to share these guys.
BTW - Ted's been on a rampage recently over at their website/blog. Get out your reading glasses and dedicate a large block of time, it make take a while to get through all of it.
So that video from Northsix sure made the rounds. I promised you more pics, so here ya go:
This show was also my first time seeing Medications, who far exceed my expectations. The band was super tight and absolutely nailed every song. I was going to this show even before Ted Leo was added to the lineup, and Medications clearly could have headlined. Very much looking forward to the next time they are in town. Some pics:
